Healthy State Alliance brings together two organizations with complementary missions, capabilities and talents: The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH). Ohio State Wexner Medical Center offers highly specialized clinical services across seven hospitals and numerous ambulatory sites, employing over 25,000 healthcare professionals, including more than 1,800 physicians. What sets Ohio State apart is its unique integration of Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Optometry, Dentistry, and Public Health on a single campus, fostering groundbreaking interdisciplinary research.
On the other hand, Bon Secours Mercy Health is recognized as the fifth-largest Catholic healthcare ministry in the U.S. and one of the nation’s top 20 healthcare systems. With a presence in seven states and internationally in Ireland, BSMH operates over 1,200 sites, providing a continuum of care from acute hospitals to hospice and home care, and contributes nearly $2 million daily in community benefits.
